Our story
Those who have had the pleasure of spending vacations in San Gimignano or simply visiting it, will surely have noticed the rolling hills that frame it. It is precisely on one of these hills, almost touching the imposing Towers, that the Torre Prima farmhouse and agritourism is located.
In keeping with Tuscan tradition, Torre Prima also holds a mysterious history, and it is not easy to determine its true age. The farm appears to be already present in 1823, the year the first cadastral register was established; some sources also mention the presence of Duke Amedeo d'Aosta at Torre Prima around 1867. Indeed, it is said that he loved to spend many of his free hours there, devoting himself to hunting. Surrounded by olive groves, vineyards, centuries-old oaks and junipers, even today the hunting lodge retains the charm of days gone by.
The Pollina family, who emigrated from Sicily, bought the cottage and part of its land in 1970. Investing time and effort, as well as facing hard sacrifices, they renovated the old animal stables and sheds; in the following years they succeeded in expanding the property, until in 1996 the Torre Prima estate evolved into a splendid farmhouse in the heart of Chianti.
The Farm
Our winery is small and family-run, for this reason we thought of giving our names to our wines, so in our direct sale you can buy our Chianti Colli Senesi "Giulia", our Vernaccia "Sofia", our Rosato "Giusi" and our Chianti Riserva "Maurizio"; in addition you can also buy our Extra Virgin Olive Oil, the result of hard work, of excellent quality, obtained directly from our olives harvested and pressed in a maximum time of 48 hours.

It is a perfect location to bask in the summer sun, to cool off at any time of the day, sipping our aperitifs and tasting delicious local products, enjoying the beautiful panorama that runs towards the Tuscan countryside.
Surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, the vacation home Torre Prima was born from an old farmhouse expertly restored, where the ancient and the modern blend to give its guests all the comfort they need to spend a totally relaxing and carefree stay, thanks also to the silence and peace that reign supreme here.
